Cruising
My friends and I biked to the beach and back, that's five hours total! What a feat! This picture is taken at Huntington Beach during a small break before we headed home. I originally took the picture in this function. The Arizona Green Tea and a bit of blue sky adds a nice touch.
Soon to come...pictures of my road trip to Seattle!

Corona Del Mar
Corona Del Mar, my favorite beach in Orange County, Calif. If you enjoy sunsets or sunrises, this is the beach to be. It has climbable cliffs so you can sit easy and enjoy.

A Walk to Remember
You're taking a walk in an unknown area. As you continue walking, you noticed that the ground is slowly ascending uphill. After a couple minutes of walking, the hill becomes steeper and steeper, but all you need is that very last step. You take a hold of a tree branch and pulled yourself over that hill to find a meadow filled with blossoms, a breathtaking view! That's the feeling I get when I see this image :]

My First!
Introducing my very first selective colorization pictures! I am so excited because I see these images a lot but never had the chance to try to produce it. The first picture of course is the Tang's grand mailbox, in gold letters of course ;p. The second picture is my neighbor's table and chairs. When I first saw the table and chairs, I imagined them to be antique in a black and white photo that you might find in your old attic. Finally I was able to capture this shot from my imagination! Happy Earth Day!
What a better way to celebrate Earth Day then by bringing home two lovely African Violet plants. Why do they look weird, as if they're molding you ask? Well I grew them in a plant tissue culture for Cell Biology actually. Basically, they're clones. I extracted the cells from an existing African Violet plant and placed them in a medium rich petri dish. Similar like the picture below. However, because the medium is rich, bacterial and mold contaminations will grow easily if introduced into the culture. That is why this whole process was performed with meticulous sterile techniques. BAM! 11 weeks later, we have these little leaflets; which will grow into a big African Violet house plant. Hopefully like the picture below.

(one day it will look like this)

Macro Flowers
I know what you're thinking, "more flowers?!" I can't help it. When it's sunny, nature calls for me to go outside. I wanted to test the macro settings of my camera on these flowers. Enjoy!

The Day After The Storm
After any storm or weary weather, the sun will always rise to shine; well, that's actually everyday. Today was gorgeous and I thought, "I wonder what I will find outside my house." I have been basically hibernating "in my cave" and today was the first day I got out to notice Spring. But knowing Tennessee, it'll be warm one day, and freezing the next. So I took the advantage to take some pretty pictures :)

A Storm's A Coming
(to the left)
When I take my exit to my school, this is the view I get. There were tornado warnings today. To the left, there's pretty yellow flowers. There should be white and pink as well, but I guess they haven't bloomed yet. To the right are the gorgeous cherry trees. Sorry for the glare, I did not want to roll my windows down because of the wind.

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
Cats or dogs? A question many people have been asked. I, was a dog person. Until my boyfriend, Leon came along, he's a cat person. I never liked cats because all the cats I've seen shed like crazy. My allergies would act up. I would itch all over and sneeze until my vision was blinded by water build up. Leon would always show me cat pictures. He likes them because they're unique and ninja-like. I grew a fond for these cat pictures, especially the cute kitty pictures. On Leon's birthday, he found a Siamese kitten. I got to name him Alley and over time, I fell in love with him. Unfortunately, Alley doesn't live with me. But my neighbors have cats so I can play with them. I found these 2 in my backyard when I came home one day. The white one is named Lucy. She's new to the neighborhood and I won't come near her. Big, fluffy cats scare me. However, the other cat Hopper, I will play with. I just found it interesting coming home to see these 2 cats couple of feet away from each other, chilling and minding their own business.

The Tennessee Theatre
(1928)
The Tennessee Theatre was built in 1928. It has been closed, reopened, refurbished, renovated, and finally restored numerous times! This is my 2nd time being at The Tennessee Theatre. The first time I went was to go see John Legend last year. I like this performing center because it's not too large. So even if you're sitting way in the back, the view isn't bad :]

Who Doesn't Love The Beach?
I know this little fellow loves it! You'll never see him too far from the beach. These pictures were taken in Newport Beach, one of my favorite beaches. It's very clean with a lot of shops near by. During the summer, I can spend all day laying in the sun and skim boarding. Don't forget to check out the passionate pink sunset. Of course, this means getting ready to build that bonfire! After that, what's better than a late night snack; a ham and cheese croissant and hot chocolate from Seaside Donuts. Perfect!

Happy Lunar New Year
Happy Lunar New Year everyone! It is the year of the mouse, as I like to call it. I know it is suppose to be called rat, but the thought of the word "rat" sounds very negative to me. This picture was taken outside of the UT's Alumni Memorial Building. My litter sister, along with her classmates performed here tonight to celebrate the new year.
